Biography

Patrick Moore begins his seventh season with the Packers' player personnel department and fourth as assistant director of college scouting after being promoted on June 1, 2021. He spent three seasons (2018-20) as a college scout in the Southeast region after joining the team on May 25, 2018. Moore spent the previous five seasons as a scout with the Cleveland Browns.

Moore moved into the personnel side with Cleveland after spending the previous 16 seasons as a coach, 14 of which came at the collegiate level. He jumped to the NFL after a five-year stint (2007-11) coaching at Fordham. In his time with the Rams, Moore served as the assistant head coach/offensive line (2010-11), defensive coordinator (2009) and linebackers/special teams coach (2007-08). As assistant head coach/offensive line, Moore oversaw a blocking attack that helped pave the way for the Rams to finish second in the conference with an average of 176.0 rushing yards per game in 2010. At the helm of the special teams unit, Moore helped Fordham lead the Patriot League with 9.4 yards per punt return in 2008. Moore also coached punter Ben Dato, who registered the third-best punting average (44.7) in school history in 2007 and earned consensus All-America honors.

Prior to his time at Fordham, Moore spent eight seasons at four college coaching stops. From 2005-06, he served as tight ends/special teams coordinator at Louisiana Tech, where he coached former Packers CB Tramon Williams. As a graduate assistant at Auburn from 2002-04, Moore was part of a staff that helped the Tigers to an undefeated 13-0 season in 2004 as well as a Sugar Bowl victory. Moore arrived at Auburn from Western Carolina, where he spent the 2000-01 seasons as a linebackers coach.

Moore's first collegiate coaching stop was at his alma mater, Illinois Wesleyan, in 1997, where he spent the year as the program's offensive line coach. He then moved on to his high school alma mater, coaching two seasons at Normal (Ill.) Community High School.

Moore played college football at Illinois Wesleyan, where he graduated with a business administration degree. He also has master's degrees from Western Carolina and Auburn. Moore splits time between Green Bay and Auburn, Ala.
