Running back Ryan Grant rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries as the Packers lead the Chicago Bears 17-3 at halftime at Lambeau Field.
Grant scored on a 4-yard run with just over a minute remaining to cap a seven-play, 65-yard drive to extend Green Bay's lead. Grant had an 18-yard carry down to the Chicago 4 before scoring on the next play. Wide receiver James Jones had an 18-yard reception on third down to keep the drive alive.
The Packers got on the board first late in the first quarter with an eight-play, 73-yard drive that was capped off with a 3-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Aaron Rodgers to wide receiver Greg Jennings. Rodgers found wide receiver Donald Driver three times for 39 yards on the drive, and connected with wide receiver Jordy Nelson for a 19-yard gain as he went 6-of-6 for 68 yards on the possession.
Chicago cut the lead to 7-3 with a 35-yard field goal from Robbie Gould early in the second quarter. Running back Matt Forte accounted for 44 of the 51 yards on the drive with 26 on the ground and an 18-yard reception on third down.
Mason Crosby connected on a 53-yard field goal at the end of the half, which tied his career long.
The Packers' 138 yards on the ground were the most in a first half this season. Running back Brandon Jackson added 30 yards on five carries when Grant left the game briefly after having the wind knocked out of him in the second quarter.
Grant became the first Green Bay running back since Samkon Gado (vs. Detroit, 2005) to rush for 100-plus yards in the first half.
Rodgers completed his first seven passes of the game and went 10-for-14 for 100 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
Forte rushed for 60 yards on 15 carries for Chicago.
