The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame will unveil its newest exhibit, 'Return to Titletown,' Thursday, May 5, along with the arrival of the Vince Lombardi Trophy. The exhibit, which fills the Hall of Fame's special display room, will recap the Packers' thrilling 2010 season and allow fans to relive the glory all over again.
Some of the items that will be featured in the special exhibit include memorable photos and graphics and various artifacts from the season, including equipment used by the training staff to help care for the many injured players throughout the year.
'Return to Titletown' will also display one of the 2010 season's most valuable items, the Super Bowl XLV Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Fresh off its return from Tiffany & Co. in New York City, where it was engraved with the final score of Super Bowl XLV, the newest Lombardi Trophy will take its place in the Packers Hall of Fame's latest exhibit, 'Return to Titletown.'
The Lombardi Trophy will be displayed near the George S. Halas Trophy from the NFC Championship win over the Chicago Bears. Both the Halas Trophy and Lombardi Trophy were sent to Tiffany's & Co. in New York City, where the final scores of both the NFC Championship and Super Bowl XLV were engraved.
Fans should note the Lombardi Trophy will not be in the exhibit May 10-14 as it will be included on the 'Packers Tailgate Tour' that is set for Marquette, Mich., (May 10), Ashland (May 11), Eau Claire (May 12), Wausau (May 13) and Green Bay (May 14). It will return to its permanent place in the Hall of Fame Monday, May 16.
Once the 'Return to Titletown' exhibit closes in early September, the Lombardi Trophy will be permanently moved into its own tower and display case within the Hall of Fame room, alongside the trophies from Super Bowl I, II and XXXI.
