Veterans' Day to be recognized at Sunday's Game with Anthem and Halftime Activities
Two Green Bay Packers Hall of Famers, running back Donny Anderson and safety LeRoy Butler, will be in Green Bay this weekend taking part in various fan activities leading up to the Packers-Bears game.
On Saturday, Nov. 15, both Anderson and Butler will be visiting with fans and signing autographs in the Packers Pro Shop from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
On Sunday, Nov. 16, prior to the game from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Butler will be visiting with fans and signing autographs in the Tundra Tailgate Zone. Click here for more information!.
Also on Sunday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Anderson will be visiting with fans and signing autographs in the Legends Club on the Associated Bank Club Level, an area accessible to game attendees with suite or club seat tickets, as a guest of the 'Alumni Meet and Greet.'
In honor of Veterans' Day, the Packers are having the National Anthem performed by Army Sergeant First Class Jamie Buckley. The Anthem will be accompanied by a Marine helicopter flyover. At halftime, a group of approximately 75 Oneida Nation Veterans will be recognized on-field and approximately 100 new Army enlistees will take their oath. A large American flag then will be unfurled and Buckley will return to the field to sing "American Soldier." The halftime festivities will conclude with a short performance by the Army Drill Team.
The Packers also will have their regular game day program, "Operation Fan Mail," which salutes a military member and his or her family during the pregame.
