Lambeau Field is set to welcome fans for Sunday afternoon's Packers Vs. Cancer game, presented by Bellin Health, which will recognize and honor those who have battled and continue to battle cancer.
This is the sixth consecutive year that the Green Bay Packers, Bellin Health and the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation are teaming up for the Packers Vs. Cancer campaign. It is aimed at raising awareness of all cancers, raising funds for research and care and reminding fans that early screenings save lives.
The campaign runs through the month of October and will be recognized during the game on Sunday. Fans entering all stadium gates will receive a Packers Vs. Cancer rally towel. Fans will see game entertainment elements that will honor cancer survivors and their loved ones, including video board features that highlight Packers players and alumni.
The Packers Pro Shop is selling a new Packers Vs. Cancer hat, with $5 from each hat sale going directly to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation. The green and gold New Era winter knit hat features the Packers logo on the front and the Packers Vs. Cancer logo on the back and is available in-store and online. Shoppers at the Packers Pro Shop can also help raise funds for the VLCF by adding a $1 or more donation to any purchase, starting now through the month of October.
With ongoing construction on the east side of the stadium, fans are asked to pay attention as they approach the stadium, as new traffic signage will direct them to the appropriate lanes and parking lots to enhance efficiency. Those with parking passes should display them on their mirrors.
Fans attending Sunday's game will also notice new pedestal-style ticket scanners, aimed at getting fans into the stadium quicker and more easily. Ticket holders can either scan mobile tickets that have been added to their digital wallet on the upper part of the pedestal, or scan each mobile ticket's barcode on the lower part of the pedestal. Each ticket must be scanned separately, and fans are asked to have their mobile tickets ready to scan as they approach the gate to allow for more efficient entry.
Fans should note that Lambeau Field and all its businesses are now cashless. Fans should plan ahead to bring credit/debit cards or use contactless payment solutions. A cash-to-card conversion station is available in the Atrium for those who do not use credit/debit cards.
Fireworks will be set off from the stadium roof one hour prior to kickoff to remind fans to start making their way to the stadium in order to be inside by kickoff.
Prior to the national anthem, the Packers and WPS Health Solutions will be recognizing Wisconsin native U.S. Army Sergeant Major James Arnold Cook through Operation Fan Mail on the field. Breland, a country, rap and R&B singer will perform the national anthem, with a large American flag on the field. A flyover featuring two F-15E aircraft will be performed by a Strike Eagle squadron, the 391st Bold Tigers, based at the 366th Fighter Wing, Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho.
Halftime will feature the All Veteran Group Parachute Team parachuting into the stadium, as well as the High School Quarterback Challenge, which will feature the Milwaukee Vincent Vikings and Milwaukee Pulaski Rams.
Fans are reminded of the stadium safety policy. No bags or purses will be allowed inside Lambeau Field unless they are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and are no larger than 12" by 6" by 12". The full carry-in policy can be found at packers.com/lambeau-field/carry-in-policy. Guests with special needs should note that wheelchair assistance is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Those with mobility challenges are encouraged to use their own wheelchairs.
