The Packers have traded CB Lenzy Pipkins to the Indianapolis Colts for LB Antonio Morrison. The transaction was announced Sunday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
Morrison, a 6-foot-1, 241-pound third-year player, was originally selected by the Colts in the fourth round (No. 125 overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft out of the University of Florida. In two seasons with Indianapolis, he played in 31 games with 19 starts and registered 154 tackles (91 solo), six tackles for a loss and a pass defensed. Last season, Morrison started all 15 games he played in at inside linebacker and led the team with a career-high 108 tackles (64 solo). He will wear No. 48 for the Packers.
Pipkins (6-0, 196) was originally signed by the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State on May 5, 2017. He was one of three rookie free agents to make Green Bay's Week 1 roster in 2017 (LB Chris Odom, P Justin Vogel). Pipkins played in 12 games with one start last season, seeing time on defense and special teams.
