The Green Bay Packers have activated WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (mar-KWEZ) off the reserve/COVID-19 list and signed WR David Moore to the practice squad. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Thursday.
Moore, a 6-0, 219-pound, fifth-year player out of East Central (Okla.) University, was originally selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the seventh round (No. 226 overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft. In four seasons with the Seahawks (2017-20), he played in 47 games with 14 starts, recording 78 receptions for 1,163 yards (14.9 avg.) and 13 touchdowns as well as 91 yards on 12 carries (7.6 avg.). Moore returned 22 punts for an average of 8.5 yards per punt and a long of 20 yards while averaging 16.3 yards on four kickoff returns with a long of 21 yards. He has played in four postseason contests with two starts, hauling in three passes for 58 yards (19.3 avg.), carrying the ball two times for 10 yards (5.0 avg.) and returning two punts for an average of 7.5 yards and a long of 10 yards. In 2021, Moore spent the offseason and training camp with the Carolina Panthers, was on the Las Vegas Raiders' practice squad and was on the practice squad and active roster of the Denver Broncos, appearing in two games (Weeks 4-5). He will wear No. 82 for the Packers.
