Packers announce reserve/future signings 

Green Bay adds three linebackers

The Green Bay Packers have signed LBs Deslin Alexandre, Deandre Johnson and Christian Young to reserve/future contracts. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Tuesday.

(alexander) Alexandre (6-3, 264), a first-year player out of the University of Pittsburgh, originally signed as an undrafted rookie with the New York Jets this past May. He was released following training camp and spent some of the regular season on the practice squad of the Chicago Bears. In five seasons at Pitt, Alexandre appeared in 58 games, recording 131 tackles (56 solo), 29.5 tackles for a loss, 16.5 sacks, eight passes defensed and two fumble recoveries.

Johnson (6-3, 252), a first-year player out of the University of Miami (Fla.), originally signed as an undrafted free agent with the Miami Dolphins in May 2022. In 2023, he played for the Houston Roughnecks of the XFL. Johnson played four years at the University of Tennessee (2017-20) and one season at the University of Miami (2021). Overall, he appeared in 53 games with 19 starts, recording 84 tackles (47 solo), 14.5 sacks, a pass defensed and six forced fumbles.

Young (6-1, 221), a first-year player, spent some time on the practice squads of the Packers and Seattle Seahawks this season. He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Arizona by the Seahawks on May 12, 2023, but was released after training camp. Young appeared in 48 games with 32 starts over a five-year career at Arizona, finishing with 182 tackles (102 solo), nine tackles for a loss, 11 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
