The Green Bay Packers have signed TE Daniel Crawford and placed WR Bailey Gaither on the reserve/retired list. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions on Tuesday.
Crawford, a 6-foot-2, 245-pound rookie out of Northern Illinois, played in 42 games for the Huskies (2016-17, 2019-20) and posted 65 receptions for 691 yards (10.6 avg.) and three TDs. He played in all 12 games with nine starts as a junior in 2019, ranking No. 2 on the team with a career-high 37 catches and No. 3 with a career-best 443 receiving yards. Crawford will wear No. 80 for the Packers.
Gaither, a rookie out of San Jose State, signed with the Packers in May 2021 as an undrafted free agent.
