The Green Bay Packers and Bellin Health have again partnered to bring fans a series of Back to Football events to kick off 2023 Packers Training Camp, presented by Bellin Health.
The 14th annual 'Packers 5K Run/Walk at Lambeau Field, presented by Bellin Health,' is set for Saturday, July 22, at 8 a.m.
The family friendly run/walk weaves through neighborhood streets, with the route taking participants past Titletown and the Bellin Health Titletown Sports Medicine and Orthopedics clinic before ultimately going through Lambeau Field and around the famed gridiron. The event has a special finish line – the Packers' 'G' painted on turf located in the parking lot of the historic stadium.
"Bellin Health is thrilled to once again sponsor this exciting community event, which helps us celebrate the fun of getting back to football with a family-friendly, heart-healthy activity everyone can enjoy," said Chris Woleske, Regional President of Bellin Health. "From training and preparation before the event to on-course medical support and helping to amplify the fun of race day, we are proud to be a part of it all."
All participants will receive a Packers 5K Tech shirt and a bib number and timing chip. In addition, photos will be taken on the course and will be available at no cost on the Packers 5K website. Upon sign-up, registrants will also receive tailored advice from Bellin Health's Sports Medicine team to assist with training and preparation for the race.
Packers-themed awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each age group. An awards ceremony will take place following the conclusion of the race in the Johnsonville Tailgate Village.
Registration, which is $30 for adults and $20 for children (age 12 and younger), is available online at packers.com/fans/packers-5k. Runners can also register at the Bellin Run Expo on Friday, June 9, at Astor Park in Green Bay from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Early registration is encouraged. After July 3, registration fees will increase to $35 and $25, respectively.
The Packers are partnering with local charities to raise money through the event. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Volunteer Center of Brown County, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin, Volunteer Fox Cities and Preble High School Music/Athletics.
Back to Football also includes the Packers 1K Kids Run, presented by Polaris. Kids 10 years old and younger will have the opportunity to run a Lambeau Lap on Friday, July 21, at 6:00 p.m. Registration for the Packers 1K Kids Run is $10 and all participants will receive a Packers 1K Kids Run t-shirt and logoed bag.
