The Green Bay Packers have claimed LB Chauncey Rivers off of waivers from the Baltimore Ravens. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction Friday.

Rivers (6-2, 259) was originally signed by the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State in 2020. He spent all of his rookie season on the Ravens' practice squad, appearing in one game as a COVID-replacement elevation. In college, Rivers appeared in 26 career games (13 starts) at defensive end for MSU, recording 67 tackles (32 solo), 15 tackles for a loss, 7.5 sacks, three passes defensed and a forced fumble. As a senior, he earned All-Southeastern Conference second-team honors from The Associated Press after leading all Mississippi State defensive linemen with 43 tackles (24 solo), eight tackles for a loss and five sacks. Rivers will wear No. 47 for the Packers.
