The Green Bay Packers elevated DL Brian Price and CB KeiVarae Russell (kee-VAR-ay) from the practice squad to the active roster for gameday and signed TE Bronson Kaufusi to a reserve/future contract. The transactions were announced Friday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
Kaufusi (cow-FOO-see), a 6-6, 270-pound third-year player, was originally selected in the third round (No. 70 overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens as a defensive lineman. After his rookie season was lost due to an injury suffered in training camp, he played in three games with one start for the Ravens in 2017. From 2018-20, Kaufusi spent time on the practice squad and active roster for the New York Jets, appearing in six games with one start over three seasons. Overall in his career, he has registered eight tackles (two solo), a half a sack and a pass defensed.
