The Green Bay Packers on Oct. 24 and 25 will work to help support a variety of community projects for the semi-annual Packers Give Back Day.

The two-day volunteer projects are a component of the team's efforts for the NFL's "Huddle for 100," which is part of the league's 100th season and looks to inspire 1 million people to volunteer 100 minutes of their time to make meaningful contributions to their communities. As part of Huddle for 100, the Packers are encouraging fans and community members to share how they are giving back on social media by using #PackersHuddleFor100.

Packers employees will join in two days of volunteering in several ways throughout the community, including packing suitcases for foster kids with Wisconsin CASA and cleaning up the Broadway District.

Additionally, Packers employees will assist community members who are elderly or have disabilities with fall outdoor chores as part of "Make a Difference Day," which is one of the largest annual single days of service nationwide.

Since 1992, volunteers and communities have come together on Make A Difference Day with a single purpose: to improve the lives of others and strengthen their communities. Volunteers are matched with homeowners who request assistance with fall outdoor duties such as raking, cleaning windows, trimming, weeding, and even putting away seasonal furniture. Last year, the Volunteer Center of Brown County coordinated the local Make A Difference Day efforts, which partnered more than 600 volunteers with over 75 senior and disabled homeowners in the community.

The organization will also take part in the United Way Day of Action, in which United Ways across the country participate in a national day of service by rolling up their sleeves and demonstrating what it means to Live United. The Brown County United Way has shifted toward a year-long volunteer engagement approach in hopes of bringing together greater support for community residents.

Their Year of Action kicked off this past June, and to contribute to the cause, Packers employees will spend time volunteering at Howe Elementary Community School, where they will install signage and build and sort the school's comfort closet.
