After thousands of entries in the Packers Everywhere 'Give Us A Sign' contest, Lexington, Ky., resident Walter Arnett was chosen as the winner for his caption "Cheeseheads: Grating the Competition Since 1919."
The Green Bay Packers offered the contest to give fans the chance to submit their clever caption ideas for gameday signs at Lambeau Field. More than 60,000 votes were cast in the bracket-style contest, with Arnett's idea coming out on top.
"Cheeseheads: Grating the Competition Since 1919" will be printed on signs and distributed to fans at the Oct. 29 game when Green Bay takes on Minnesota. Fans who want to hold up a sign can pick one up prior to the game outside the stadium at the Great Lawn at Titletown, adjacent to Ridge Road. A limited number of signs will be available.
In addition to having his sign idea printed and distributed to fans at Lambeau Field, Arnett will receive a trip to Green Bay and two tickets to the game.
