Green Bay Packers Give Back announced this week it has awarded a total of $250,000 in impact grants to five nonprofit organizations serving Brown County.
ASPIRO, Inc., Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin, CASA of Brown County, Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity and Paul's Pantry each received a $50,000 grant.
These grants, which are Packers Give Back Impact Grants, have been awarded this year to support Green Bay Packers staff members' philanthropic interests. The five recipients are championed year-round by Packers employees through personal donations and volunteer hours.
"The Packers are pleased to award impact grants to five organizations who advocate for youth and uplift our most vulnerable neighbors," said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. "We are proud to support these nonprofits and the critical work they carry out every day in our community."
- ASPIRO, Inc. creates opportunities for people experiencing disabilities to live their best lives by reaching their goals, connecting to their community and achieving their independence.
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin creates and supports one-to-one mentoring relationships to ignite the power and promise of youth.
- CASA of Brown County provides a voice for abused and neglected children who are under the legal protection of the court system.
- Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
- Paul's Pantry provides families with weekly groceries so they may use their food dollars for shelter, utilities and other necessities to avoid becoming homeless.
A component of the Green Bay Packers Give Back program, the grants, combined with other Packers charitable endeavors, contribute to a comprehensive Packers charity impact in excess of $13 million in the past year.
