The Green Bay Packers have placed QB Aaron Rodgers and CB Isaac Yiadom (YEAH-dum) on the reserve/COVID-19 list and signed DL Auzoyah Alufohai (Ah-ZOY-ah Ah-LOOF-oh-hai) and RB Ryquell Armstead (ra-KWELL) to the practice squad. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Wednesday.

Per agreed-upon NFL-NFLPA policy, clubs are not permitted to comment on a player's medical status other than referring to roster status. Being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list is for a player who either tests positive for COVID-19 or who has been in close contact with an infected person or persons.

Alufohai is a 6-foot-4, 313-pound, first-year player out of the University of West Georgia who originally signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and spent most of his rookie season on the Texans' practice squad before joining Houston's active roster and appearing in three games. After being waived by the Texans during the 2021 training camp, he spent some time this season on the Chicago Bears' practice squad. Alufohai will wear No. 72 for the Packers.

Armstead (5-11, 220) is a third-year player out of Temple that was originally selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the fifth round (No. 140 overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. In Jacksonville, he appeared in 16 games with one start and posted 108 yards on 35 carries (3.1 avg.) and 144 yards on 14 receptions (10.3 avg.) with two receiving touchdowns. After being waived by the Jaguars last May, Armstead spent time with the New York Giants in the offseason and time on the New Orleans Saints' practice squad. He will wear No. 35 for the Packers.
