The Green Bay Packers have placed RB MarShawn Lloyd on reserve/non-football illness and signed WR Alex McGough to the practice squad. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Wednesday.

(ma-GOO) McGough (6-3, 214), a first-year player out of Florida International University, returns to Green Bay after spending 2023 on the practice squad and part of the 2024 offseason with the Packers. He was originally selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the seventh round (No. 220 overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. McGough has also spent time on the practice squads of the Seahawks (2018, 2020) and Houston Texans (2019-20) and was on the active roster for the Texans from Weeks 2-6 in 2019, but was a gameday inactive for all five weeks. In 2023, he played for the Birmingham Stallions of the United States Football League, earning league MVP honors and leading his team to the USFL title. McGough will wear No. 16 for the Packers.
