The Packers third jersey, a re-creation of the team's uniform from 1929, the year of Green Bay's first world championship, will be available to fans exclusively at the Packers Pro Shop July 27-29, both in the store and online at www.PackersProShop.com.
The third jersey collection, which also includes a variety of sideline apparel, additionally will be available all season after the exclusive window this week at the Pro Shop.
"There's been a lot of anticipation for the jerseys and clothing, and we're excited to have them available for fans," said Kate Hogan, Packers director of retail operations. "We have put together a selection that we feel brings back the glory from 1929 in a new and different way, and will appeal to all Packers fans."
The Packers will wear the third jersey at Lambeau Field Dec. 5 against the San Francisco 49ers.
The jersey is navy blue with the number on the front inside a gold circle. The circle and number are enlarged slightly from their 1929 size to comply with NFL regulations regarding jersey numbers. An enlarged number is also on the back, with a nameplate above the number, another modification from the 1929 jersey.
The helmet is a solid brown color without a logo to best simulate the leather helmets worn during the era. The uniform pants are a tan color.
The sideline apparel theme also dates back to the 1920s, with many of the selections featuring "Acme Packers," the team moniker from the 1921-22 seasons.
The collection will be available online at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday at www.PackersProShop.com.The uniform was unveiled this past March at Packers Fan Fest.
