The Green Bay Packers have signed CB Jackson Porter and waived/injured S Mike Tyson. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Monday.
Porter, a 6-foot, 200-pound first-year player out of the University of Massachusetts, was originally signed by the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent on June 11, 2018, but was released following the 2018 training camp. He played in 42 games with seven starts at UMass, playing cornerback all four seasons but also wide receiver as a sophomore in 2015. For his career, Porter recorded 84 tackles (51 solo), 1.5 tackles for a loss, two interceptions (one returned for a TD), 15 passes defensed and hauled in one pass for 7 yards. He will wear No. 24 for the Packers.
Tyson was claimed by the Packers off of waivers from the Houston Texans on May 13, 2019.
