The Green Bay Packers have signed DL Josh Avery. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction Wednesday.
Avery, a 6-foot-3, 318-pound, first-year player out of Southeast Missouri State, spent part of last offseason with Seattle after signing with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2020. In 2021, he played for the Alphas of The Spring League. Avery transferred from Independence Community College to Southeast Missouri State and in two seasons with the Redhawks, he recorded 41 tackles, seven tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. He will wear No. 63 for the Packers.
