The Green Bay Packers signed G Ben Braden to the practice squad. The transaction was announced Thursday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
Braden, a 6-foot-6, 329-pound second-year player, was originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Michigan by the New York Jets on May 8, 2017. Over the last two seasons, he spent time on the Jets' practice squad and active roster, appearing in two games in 2018. Braden appeared in 38 games with 36 starts over four years at Michigan, where he was twice named All-Big Ten and earned second-team honors as a senior and honorable mention recognition as a junior. He will wear No. 71 for the Packers.
