The Green Bay Packers have signed LB Jonathan Garvin. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction Tuesday.
The 6-4, 257-pound edge rusher was a two-year starter for the Hurricanes who recorded 10½ sacks among 26 tackles for loss over the 2018-19 seasons. He got his first taste of college action as a true freshman in 2017 and notched two sacks.
He also had three forced fumbles and four recoveries (one for a TD) in his career to go with five passes broken up.
At the scouting combine, Garvin was clocked in 4.82 seconds in the 40-yard dash. He put up 23 bench-press reps, had a 36-inch vertical jump and a 125-inch broad jump.
