The Green Bay Packers signed DL James Looney to the active roster from the practice squad and placed LB Nick Perry on injured reserve. The transactions were announced Saturday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
Looney, a 6-foot-3, 287-pound rookie out of the University of California, was selected by the Packers with the first of three seventh-round picks (No. 232 overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft. He has spent the entire regular season on Green Bay's practice squad. Looney earned honorable mention All-Pacific-12 recognition in both of his final two seasons and was on the watch list for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy as a senior in 2017.
