Packers sign QB Jordan Love to contract extension

Former first-round pick is entering his fourth NFL season

The Green Bay Packers have signed QB Jordan Love to a contract extension. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction Wednesday. 

Love has appeared in 10 games with one start for the Packers after originally being selected by Green Bay in the first round (No. 26 overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Utah State. He played in four games last season, completing 14 of 21 passes (66.7 pct) for 195 yards and a TD and a passer rating of 112.2. Love entered the Week 12 game at Philadelphia in the fourth quarter last season, connecting on 6 of 9 passes (66.7 pct.) for 113 yards and a 63-yard TD for a 146.8 rating. He finished his career at Utah State ranked No. 2 in school history in passing yards (8,600), completions (689) and attempts (1,125), tied for No. 2 in TD passes (60), and No. 3 in completion percentage (61.2) despite playing just three seasons.
