The Green Bay Packers have signed S Vernon Scott. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction Monday.
Safety Vernon Scott (6-2, 202) from Texas Christian University was chosen by Green Bay with the 236th overall pick.
Scott, a Texas native, became a full-time starter for the first time this past season, starting 10 games and ranking fourth on his team with 44 tackles. He broke up seven passes and had a 98-yard interception return for a touchdown against Oklahoma.
