The Green Bay Packers have signed T John Leglue from the New Orleans Saints' practice squad and placed T Yosh Nijman on injured reserve. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Saturday.
Leglue, a 6-foot-6, 301-pound rookie out of Tulane, was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Denver Broncos before joining the Saints' practice squad after training camp. In college, he saw action in 49 games with 38 starts (15 at right tackle, 13 at right guard, nine at center and one at left tackle). Leglue opened all 13 games at right guard as a senior after starting one game at left tackle and 11 games at right tackle as a junior. He will wear No. 79 for the Packers.
