The Green Bay Packers signed TE Dominique Dafney to the practice squad. The transaction was announced Monday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
Dafney (6-2, 243) is a rookie out of Indiana State who spent a brief time in the training camp of the Indianapolis Colts this past August. He started his college career at Iowa Western Community College (2016) before transferring to the University of Iowa for two seasons (2017-18) and then played one year at Indiana State (2019). Last season, Dafney ranked No. 2 on the team with 439 yards rushing after carrying the ball during the final four games of the season out of the Wildcat package. For the season, he scored seven touchdowns (six rushing and one receiving) and was named second-team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference at fullback and to the MVFC All-Newcomer team. Dafney will wear No. 49 for the Packers.
