The Green Bay Packers signed TE Nakia Griffin-Stewart to the practice squad. The transaction was announced Wednesday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
(na-KEY-ah) Griffin-Stewart (6-5, 252) is a rookie out of the University of Pittsburgh that originally signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent on May 1 and was released following training camp. He spent the 2019 season as a grad transfer at Pitt after playing from 2015-18 at Rutgers. In his final collegiate season, Griffin-Stewart played in 13 games with 12 starts, registering 19 receptions for 185 yards (9.7 avg.) and a touchdown. He will wear No. 80 for the Packers.
