The Green Bay Packers signed WR Juwann Winfree from the practice squad to the active roster and signed WR Josh Malone to the practice squad. The transactions were announced Tuesday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
(juh-wann) Winfree has spent the entire season on Green Bay's practice squad, appearing in three games as a gameday elevation and recording four receptions for 30 yards (7.5 avg.).
Malone (6-3, 208) is a third-year player out of the University of Tennessee that was originally selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fourth round (No. 128 overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft. He spent his first two seasons (2017-18) with the Bengals before spending the last two years with the New York Jets. He was released by the Jets late in August this year and spent some time on the Denver Broncos' practice squad. Overall, Malone has played in 26 games with seven starts, recording 11 receptions for 91 yards (8.3 avg.) and a touchdown. He will wear No. 80 for the Packers.
