The Green Bay Packers announced today they will recognize Wisconsin Literacy as the nonprofit honoree for the Packers Give Back Game on Saturday, Aug. 24.

The preseason matchup between Green Bay and Baltimore will mark the fourth annual Packers Give Back Game, which supports a benefiting charity from Wisconsin by highlighting their work and amplifying their message before and during the game.

Hundreds of Wisconsin Literacy guests will receive a free bus ride to the game, a food and beverage gift card, and tickets to a designated area in the south end zone. Prior to kickoff, several Wisconsin Literacy members will take the field to be recognized.

"We're pleased to have Wisconsin Literacy join us for the Packers Give Back Game," said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. "We are inspired by their commitment to ensuring all Wisconsinites have the literacy skills they need to pursue their goals and succeed. We are proud to amplify their mission and share their cause with our fans. We are looking forward to the game."

Wisconsin Literacy is a coalition of literacy agencies dedicated to changing lives and strengthening communities through knowledge and advocacy. Founded in 1985, the organization supports over 80 member agencies, serving more than 11,000 adult learners and their families statewide. Through partnerships with state government, businesses, community and healthcare organizations, Wisconsin Literacy enhances literacy and health outcomes for Wisconsin residents.

"Wisconsin Literacy is honored to be recognized by the Packers and to share this exciting experience with our member organizations, tutors, teachers, students and literacy advocates from across the state," said Jake Gorges, executive director of Wisconsin Literacy. "These dedicated individuals and groups work tirelessly to provide invaluable services, from basic reading and writing skills to advanced educational support and healthcare decisions.

"We work to empower individuals through education, helping them achieve personal and professional goals. By improving literacy, we are not only enhancing individual lives but also strengthening the fabric of our communities. We are profoundly grateful and inspired by the Packers' commitment to increasing awareness of literacy throughout the state."
