'Project Play 60', the Green Bay Packers' event that is focused on getting kids out of the house to enjoy non-strenuous physical activity, is set for Saturday, March 7.
The free community event is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will take place in both the Lambeau Field Atrium and the Legends Club on the fourth floor. Parking will be free for guests participating in Project Play 60, and attendees may enter the Atrium through the Oneida Nation Gate, American Family Insurance Gate or Miller Lite Gate.
In addition to popular inflatables, climbing walls, bungee trampolines and face painting, the day will feature entertainment by the West Bend Dance/Tumbling Troupe, a professional gymnastics group that performs all over the country and the world. The group is scheduled to perform six times starting at 10 a.m., followed by a dance/tumbling workshop after each performance. Live54218 will be hosting Yoga for Families on the fourth floor of the Atrium in the Legends Club. Live 54218 is a local nonprofit organization that strives to create healthy environments in the community and encourages residents daily to eat five servings of fruits and vegetables, drink four bottles of water, watch less than two hours of screen time, participate in at least one hour of physical activity, and sleep eight hours a night. Project Play 60 is one of several free community events the Packers host every year, each geared toward bringing families together. It is a part of Green Bay Packers Give Back, the Packers' all-encompassing community outreach initiative, which includes the Green Bay Packers Foundation's annual and impact grants, and more than 10,000 autographed items donated for fundraising efforts in the past year. Other key outreach areas include the more than 900 yearly appearances made by players, coaches and staff, youth football grants and outreach camps, cash and in-kind donations, Make-A-Wish visits, and community events. These efforts, combined with direct cash donations by the Packers to various charity endeavors, resulted in a comprehensive Green Bay Packers Give Back charity impact in excess of $6 million in the past year.
