Pro Bowl offensive guard Marco Rivera is teaming up with the Bay Area Humane Society & Animal Shelter to host a pair of charity events in May.
Tail Gate, a dinner and auction at Brett Favre's Steakhouse in Green Bay, will be held May 9 from 6-10 p.m.
Rivera and his wife Michelle will be in attendance, in addition to fullback William Henderson, linebacker Na'il Diggs, wide receiver Donald Driver, defensive end Aaron Kampman and linebacker Torrance Marshall, among other Packers celebrities.
General admission seating goes for $50 per person, while sponsorship club seating is valued at $600 for a table of eight. Those who purchase the sponsorship package will be seated at a premier table with the chance to dine with one or more Packers celebrities.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Humane Society, as well as the Marco Rivera Outreach Foundation.
The same can be said of PETCO's Pet Walk, which follows May 10.
Including appearances by Packers celebrities, the Pet Walk is a three-mile scenic walk through the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m., with the walk commencing at 9 a.m.
T-shirts are provided free after the registration fee. Prizes will be presented for top pledge collectors and raffles and pet contests also will be held.
