Biography
The Packers started Day 3 of the draft by making their first defensive pick, taking Texas defensive lineman Barryn Sorrell in the fourth round at No. 124 overall.
Sorrell (6-3, 256) started at defensive end the last three seasons for the Longhorns, totaling 15½ sacks and 29 QB hits over 43 games (40 starts). He racked up 125 tackles over those three years, 24½ of them for loss.
The New Orleans, La., native earned honorable mention All-Big 12 Conference honors in 2022 and '23. He clocked a 4.68-second 40-yard dash at the scouting combine with a 34-inch vertical jump.
