Biography

  • Is one of three Packers since the merger (1970) with 100-plus tackles in both of his first two NFL seasons (Nick Barnett, 2003-04; A.J. Hawk, 2006-07), per Stathead.
  • Has led Green Bay in tackles for two straight seasons, tying for the third-longest streak for the Packers since 1975 (Nick Barnett, 2003-05; Blake Martinez, 2017-19).
  • Ranked No. 2 among NFL rookies with a team-best 119 total tackles in 2022, the fifth most by a Green Bay rookie since 1975 (Johnnie Gray, 123 in 1975 / Nick Barnett, 134 in 2003 / A.J. Hawk, 155 in 2006 / Rich Wingo, 166 in 1979).
  • Earned All-Rookie team honors from the Pro Football Writers of America, the first Green Bay inside LB to be selected to the team since Hawk in 2006.
  • Started at LB in all 15 games as a senior in 2021, tying for No. 3 on the team with a career-high 67 tackles (39 solo) while adding 5½ tackles for a loss, 1½ sacks and 25 QB pressures. Was part of a Georgia defense that ranked No. 1 in the country in 2021 in points allowed (10.2 ppg), the top mark posted since Alabama (8.2 ppg) in 2011, and helped the Bulldogs win their first national championship since 1980.
