Monster drive for second TD was maybe season's best

GREEN BAY – It doesn't get much more methodical than 17 plays, 96 yards and eight minutes, 55 seconds spanning the first and second quarters.

Those were the numbers on the Packers' second touchdown drive in Monday night's 34-0 victory over the Saints, and they're season highs for Green Bay in all categories, tying the year's best in yardage.

So it's a pretty easy choice for the Chevy Drive of the Week.

It didn't look great at first, with an incomplete pass and 4-yard run by RB Josh Jacobs setting up third-and-6 from Green Bay's own 8-yard line.

But the Saints jumped offside to make it third-and-1, and then TE Tucker Kraft came in motion and slid under center to take the snap for a sneak to move the chains.

From there, a swing pass to Jacobs gained 13 yards, and he followed with a run for 3 more. Then on third-and-7, QB Jordan Love hit WR Romeo Doubs for 15 yards over the middle for a first down near midfield.

After an 8-yard run by Jacobs, RB Emanuel Wilson was stopped a yard short on third-and-2, but Love took care of it on fourth-and-1 with a QB sneak. Four plays later, it was fourth down again, this time needing 2 yards, and Love's rollout to the left found Kraft wide open downfield for a 21-yard gain.

That gave the Packers a first down in the red zone, and Jacobs took it from there, running 12 yards down to the 2 and then punching it in for his team-leading 14th touchdown of the season. He also set the mark for the most TDs by a Packers player in his first year with the team, and Green Bay led 14-0 early in the second quarter.
