For the first time this year, the Green Bay Packers offered fans the chance to submit their clever caption ideas for gameday signs at Lambeau Field for the Packers Everywhere 'Give Us A Sign' contest.
After thousands of entries and more than 27,000 votes in the bracket-style contest, Richard Hendricks of De Pere, Wis., was chosen as the winner.
Hendricks' clever caption "Lambeau Field: 81,441. Welcome to the world's largest family reunion" will be printed on signs and distributed to fans at the Oct. 24 game when Green Bay takes on Washington. Fans who want to hold up a sign can pick one up prior to the game outside the stadium at the Great Lawn at Titletown, adjacent to Ridge Road. A limited number of signs will be available.
In addition to having his sign idea printed and distributed to fans at Lambeau Field, Hendricks will also receive two tickets to the game.
Voters in the contest this year were entered to win two tickets to a 2021 Packers game each time they voted. Nancy Locknane was this year's fan voting winner.
