Packers.com has consulted more than two dozen mock drafts from reputable national outlets and compiled a list of players most frequently mocked as draft selections in the latter portion of the first round (picks 18-28) who could be available when the Packers are on the clock at No. 23 overall.

Between now and draft day, those players will be profiled with thumbnail sketches and videos known as "Prospect Primers."

Today's player is …

Azareye'h Thomas, CB, Florida State

Height/Weight: 6-1½, 197

Key stats: Broke up 10 passes in 14 games in 2023 before recording a career-best 52 tackles as a 12-game starter in 2024.

College honors: Named honorable mention All-Atlantic Coast Conference last season.

Background/other info: Lauded for his physical, press man abilities as a cornerback, uses his long arms and strength to disrupt routes and battle on contested passes. Was a bright spot defensively on a struggling team. Open-field speed has been questioned, and didn't run at the combine but clocked a 40 in the mid-to-high 4.5s at Florida State's pro day. Over 37 college games, recorded 95 tackles, including 8½ for loss, and broke up 15 passes – 10 in 2023 – with two interceptions. Considered one of the top six to eight cornerbacks in this draft with plenty of physical tools and the ability to produce more turnovers than his college stats suggest.
