Packers.com has consulted more than two dozen mock drafts from reputable national outlets and compiled a list of players most frequently mocked as draft selections in the latter portion of the first round (picks 18-28) who could be available when the Packers are on the clock at No. 23 overall.

Between now and draft day, those players will be profiled with thumbnail sketches and videos known as "Prospect Primers."

Today's player is …

Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

Height/Weight: 6-0, 193

Key stats: Intercepted nine passes (one returned 97 yards for TD) over 25 games in the 2022-23 seasons.

College honors: Earned Freshman All-America honors in 2022 and was a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation's top DB in 2023.

Background/other info: Played in only six games last season due to a hip injury that required surgery and forced the team captain to miss Notre Dame's final 10 contests. That cut short an incredibly promising college career that began with a six-INT campaign, including a three-INT game, as a freshman in 2022. Added three more picks (one against former USC and current Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams) and a team-best 10 passes broken up the following year. Tested against high-level competition as the corner often assigned to the opponent's top target. Seen as effective in zone or man, with most ball production coming in vision-based zone. Comes from an athletic family, with four siblings (one brother, three sisters) competing at the Division I level in college, and a father who was a 1993 sixth-round draft pick by Washington as a safety.
