Packers.com has consulted more than two dozen mock drafts from reputable national outlets and compiled a list of players most frequently mocked as draft selections in the latter portion of the first round (picks 18-28) who could be available when the Packers are on the clock at No. 23 overall.

Between now and draft day, those players will be profiled with thumbnail sketches and videos known as "Prospect Primers."

Today's player is …

Grey Zabel, OL, North Dakota State

Height/Weight: 6-6, 312

Key stats: Started 38 games over the past three seasons – 16 at LT in 2024, plus 17 at RT, four at LG and one as sixth OL over the 2022-23 campaigns.

College honors: Named first-team Associated Press FCS All-American and first-team All-Missouri Valley Conference last season.

Background/other info: Projected as an interior lineman in the NFL, with center possibly his best position, despite starting 33 games at the two tackle spots in college. An aggressive mauler in a run-heavy scheme at NDSU, he's viewed as the best FCS offensive line prospect, and perhaps the best FCS prospect overall, in this draft class. Allowed just three sacks in 864 pass-blocking snaps over the past two years, according to Pro Football Focus. Reportedly turned down NIL offers from bigger schools to stay at NDSU and play with his younger brother, Jett, a freshman TE in 2024. Manned the LT spot for the FCS national champions last season, finishing his career with 36 consecutive starts.
