GREEN BAY – For the second straight year, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers comes in at No. 3 in the NFL Network's "Top 100 Players" for 2022.
It marks the ninth time Rodgers has cracked the top 10, and the fourth time he's been in the top three. Not coincidentally, all of his top-three rankings have come following MVP seasons, as he was No. 1 in 2012, No. 2 in 2015 and now No. 3 each of the past two years. His four league MVPs are second most in the history of the award, behind only Peyton Manning's five.
In addition to his nine appearances in the top 10, Rodgers also has been ranked No. 11 twice and he was No. 16 in 2020, prior to winning his two most recent MVPs.
This past season, Rodgers threw for 4,115 yards with 37 touchdowns and just four interceptions. His 111.9 passer rating was his second highest since his second MVP year of 2014, trailing the 121.5 mark of 2020. His 68.9% completion rate was the second highest of his career, behind only the 70.7 of 2020.
In 2021, Rodgers also earned his 10th Pro Bowl selection, a franchise record and breaking the tie at nine he shared with Hall of Famers Brett Favre and Forrest Gregg.
The "Top 100" list is a peer ranking, voted on annually by players around the league.
