Packers.com has consulted more than two dozen mock drafts from reputable national outlets and compiled a list of players most frequently mocked as draft selections in the latter portion of the first round (picks 18-28) who could be available when the Packers are on the clock at No. 23 overall.

Between now and draft day, those players will be profiled with thumbnail sketches and videos known as "Prospect Primers."

Today's player is …

Donovan Ezeiruaku, Edge, Boston College

Height/Weight: 6-2½, 248

Key stats: Posted 16½ sacks among 20½ tackles for loss last season, along with 15 QB hits in 12 games.

College honors: Named first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference, ACC Defensive Player of the Year, Associated Press first-team All-American and winner of the Ted Hendricks Award as the nation's top defensive end in 2024.

Background/other info: One of the nation's most productive pass rushers last season first came on the scene in 2022 with 8½ sacks among 14½ tackles for loss in earning second-team All-ACC honors. Regressed statistically in 2023 (two sacks, 6½ TFLs) before a monster final year at BC in which he tied the single-season school record for sacks and ranked second in the FBS with 16½. Seen as an advanced, multi-technique rusher who sets up blockers with different moves, creating disruption his adequate speed and quickness wouldn't produce on their own. Questioned for a lack of size and ability to stop the run, would fit best initially in the NFL as a third-down pass-rush specialist who would then grow his game from there.
