Packers.com has consulted more than two dozen mock drafts from reputable national outlets and compiled a list of players most frequently mocked as draft selections in the latter portion of the first round (picks 20-32) who could be available when the Packers are on the clock at No. 25 overall.
Between now and draft day, those players will be profiled with thumbnail sketches and videos known as "Prospect Primers."
Today's player is …
Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson
Height/Weight: 6-1, 173
Key stats: Started 18 of 23 games played over the past two seasons, broke up 22 passes and intercepted three, returning two for TDs.
College honors: Named first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference by multiple outlets in 2023.
Background/other info: Blazed a 4.28-second 40-yard dash at the combine but strained a hip flexor and did not finish all the workouts in Indy. Recorded his first collegiate interception in the 2022 ACC Championship Game, picking off North Carolina QB Drake Maye and returning it 98 yards for a TD. Also had a blocked field goal in that game. Again intercepted Maye, a projected high first-round draft pick, in 2023, and chased down a North Carolina ball carrier after a 64-yard run to force a fumble at the goal line, reportedly reaching 22 mph on the sprint. Led the Tigers in pass breakups each of the last two seasons. Finished his prep career at Westlake High School in Atlanta, the same school that produced former Clemson CB A.J. Terrell, a 2020 first-round pick. Dabbled on offense in high school, scoring five TDs in nine games at Westlake.
