Packers.com has consulted more than two dozen mock drafts from reputable national outlets and compiled a list of players most frequently mocked as draft selections in the latter portion of the first round (picks 20-32) who could be available when the Packers are on the clock at No. 25 overall.
Between now and draft day, those players will be profiled with thumbnail sketches and videos known as "Prospect Primers."
Today's player is …
Ennis Rakestraw Jr., CB, Missouri
Height/Weight: 5-11, 183
Key stats: Broke up 24 passes in 35 career collegiate games but had just one interception, in 2022.
College honors: Four-time Southeastern Conference academic honor roll selection.
Background/other info: Doesn't have the flashy statistics of a highly touted prospect, but his physical style and film make him attractive, particularly as a press man cover corner. Has room to grow on a thin frame but utilizes his long arms well and plays a tough brand of defense in coverage and run support. Improved his 40 time from 4.51 at the combine, when he wasn't fully healthy, to 4.44 at Missouri's pro day. Became a full-time starter as a true freshman, but had his second season cut short due to an ACL injury. Then started every game in 2022 but missed four games in 2023 due to a groin injury, which kept him out of the Senior Bowl and affected his combine participation.
