GREEN BAY – Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been nominated for the FedEx Air Player of the Week following his four-touchdown performance in last Thursday's 34-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
Fans are encouraged to vote for Rodgers. The winner will be announced Wednesday.
Rodgers completed 25-of-31 passes for 305 yards, four TDs and no interceptions (147.2 passer rating) to power Green Bay to its sixth win of the season.
It marked the third time this season Rodgers has thrown three touchdowns in the first half, matching his previous career-bests from 2012 and 2016.
Rodgers' 52-yard touchdown pass to receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling in the second quarter was his 40th career TD pass of 50-plus yards, the most since 2008.
The other Week 9 nominees include Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes (30-of-45 for 372 yards and four TDs) and Buffalo's Josh Allen (31-of-38 for 415 yards and three TDs).
