GREEN BAY – For the third time this season, Packers receiver Jayden Reed has been nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week.
The rookie second-round pick is up for the Week 17 award after catching six passes for 89 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 33-10 win over the Minnesota Vikings. All of that production came in the first half, as Reed exited at halftime with a chest injury.
Fans are encouraged to vote for Reed here.
During the win over Minnesota, the 5-foot-11, 187-pound wideout broke Sterling Sharpe's 35-year-old franchise record for most receptions (60) by a Packers rookie. His eight receiving TDs are third most during a rookie season, behind only Billy Howton (13 in 1952) and Max McGee (nine in 1954).
Reed is the first rookie in NFL history to post 100-plus rushing yards, multiple rushing TDs, 60-plus receptions, 650-plus receiving yards and eight-plus receiving TDs.
The other Week 17 nominees include Miami running back De'Von Achane, Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Kobie Turner, Las Vegas quarterback Aidan O'Connell, Philadelphia safety Sydney Brown and Baltimore receiver Zay Flowers.
Fans can vote for one of these six players on www.nfl.com/rookies, @NFL on Twitter, and on the NFL Mobile app through Thursday at 10 a.m. The winner will be announced Thursday on NFL Network and on NFL.com.
