GREEN BAY – The Packers have listed tight end Josiah Deguara (calf) as questionable for Sunday night's regular-season finale against the Detroit Lions.
The third-year veteran returned to practice Friday in a limited capacity after sitting out on Thursday.
Deguara, who plays the H-back role in Green Bay's offense, has 13 receptions for 114 yards on 244 offensive snaps this season and is also a core member of the Packers' special teams. He provided a crucial block that opened the middle of the field for returner Keisean Nixon on his 105-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in last Sunday's 41-17 win over Minnesota.
"He's just so dynamic in all phases, whether it's blocking on the perimeter, run after catch or routes or all the fullback stuff," said tight end Robert Tonyan of Deguara this week. "Not a lot of people want to do that, not a lot of people want to go between the gaps of the line and stick their face in there. I give him a lot of credit for that. … I love that dude. He's projecting in the right direction."
Every other player on the Packers' active roster is expected to play Sunday, including Nixon. The NFL's leading kickoff returner didn't practice at all last week due to a lingering groin injury but still earned NFL Special Teams Player of the Week honors for his TD return.
In addition to Nixon, the Packers didn't issue a game status to the following players: quarterback (right thumb/knee), tackle David Bakhtiari (knee/abdomen), linebacker Krys Barnes (hand), safety Rudy Ford (wrist/knee), guard/tackle Elgton Jenkins (knee), running back Aaron Jones (knee/ankle), tackle Yosh Nijman (shoulder), receiver Christian Watson (hip), and tight end Marcedes Lewis (veteran rest). Nijman was upgraded to full participation during Friday's practice.
Meanwhile, the Lions have ruled out tackle Kayode Awosika (ankle) and listed five others as questionable: center Frank Ragnow (foot), cornerback Jeff Okudah (elbow), defensive tackle Michael Brockers (ankle), fullback Jason Cabinda (knee), and safety DeShon Elliott (shoulder).
Okudah was added to the injury report on Friday with an elbow injury. Meanwhile, Ragnow returned to practice on Friday in a limited capacity after not practicing on Wednesday and Thursday due to a lingering foot injury.
The Lions didn't issue a game status for running back Justin Jackson (hip) or guard Evan Brown (ankle), who are both expected to be available.
